Summary/Objective

This position is responsible for the inventory management, record adjustments and control of the Charlotte operation.

Essential Functions

  • Ensure system transactions are performed as scheduled by the operation (ie., shippers/receivers and inventory adjustments)
  • Management of the inventory control staff (cycle counters, part chasers)
  • Participate in the daily staff meeting
  • Develop, manage and execute the cycle count program at the warehouse as well as the customer's facility
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies
  • Manage physical inventories and coordinate with the customer to ensure completion as scheduled
  • Complete CHESS to WMS reconciliation investigations, transactions and trouble shooting
  • Manage material shortages to ensure appropriate action is taken when material arrives, including receipt hold tracking and resolution
  • Document and investigate any material issues communicated by customer
  • Maintain accuracy of data in the system including, location, quantity on hand, value, etc.
  • Work with the customer/vendor to resolve packing slip/receiving issues
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance at work

Work Environment

Warehouse environment subject to seasonal temperatures and regular exposure to forklift traffic.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The associate may occasionally be required to lift 51 pounds, anything greater than 51 pounds requires assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

Full Time. Schedule flexibility for extended or unplanned work hours is required.

No travel is required between locations

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • At least 8 years of inventory control and/or production scheduling experience is necessary
  • Experience with WMS systems (Priya, Chess or Red Prairie preferred) 
  • Stable work history
